The Aeolian Harp. Building 217 housing units, Sevilla

The alignment must predetermine the shape of the envelope of the building: a "U" open eight-storey height to the west, where a block of five to complete the block is available. The building offers two scales, the outer city and block courtyard inside. Outside volumes vertical communication cores and aligned windows of the rooms set the standards of facade, referring to the scale of the block and the collective. Within this order disappears and the apparent randomness of the voids expresses the strength of the individual and the household level. This different internal and external response is also reflected in the height of the building. To scale up the central courtyard and allow more sunlight in this space, it is proposed for block-shaped "U", a stepped section from the eight outdoor plants crunched at six plants in the interior. This scalability is manifested and emphasizes the west front; in coordination with the block of five plants across the terraces of houses adapted and, at its ends, has access to the garage and into the central courtyard (vehicle access firefighting).
