Building equipment Alexandra

The solar, publicly owned urbanistically qualified as "públic dotacional Habitatge" an area of 7.320m 2 is located in a "green corridor", connecting the Parc de les Aigues with Parc Catalunya, is constituted as clear boundary which is the way Alexandra, with a barrier of building the ground floor and 9 floors floor. Furthermore, the La Concordia, with more fluff building blocks, wider streets, bars row houses in defining the border with the park. Currently, Alexandra satellite has a surface parking that will concentrate users who access equipment in vehicles. The architectural proposal acknowledges the volume of the environment, available on the site and flows of movement of people, to raise a powerful public space linking the equipment with its environment. The project consists of a building of facilities in which 112 parking spaces and 31 storage rooms in the basement are integrated; Library Ponent (2,168 m 2), the Service Centre for the Elderly (1,401 m 2), and general access to ground floor apartments; and 168 VPO housing rented flats in plants 1 to 10, with a total floor area of 18.976,78m 2. The site has frontage on three streets and has a maximum height of 16m between the highest and lowest points of the adjacent streets. The steepest slope is developed from east to west, while north-south gradient is softer and is in this direction where there are the best distant views. About this north-south axis the project has categorically volumes of the building. For all homes have basking, were located on the east and west facing, except the ends, which are oriented south. The nearby buildings do not produce shadows cast as are a considerable distance, however takes into account the specificities to ensure maximum basking in all homes. In designing the proposal takes into account its situation within a green corridor between the Tierno Galván Park and the main axis of mobility neighborhood, street d'en Serra Camaró. The square-ups, located south of the building is erected in unifying activities and frames the access to different uses (library, service center, houses) with centralized management. The projected volume option poses a unique socket constant height acting as a new base, receives a number of parallelepiped volumes arranged in parallel cuts, vary in height and length, adapting to the slope of the site and the existing features of the surrounding buildings . In this base or floor library, service center, and access to housing are located. The building consists of 168 units, grouped in two separated by a communal courtyard, 50 units in Block A and 118 units in block B. The volumes are arranged buildings oriented along the north-south axis. They consist of kitchen, bathroom, dining room and terrace, 128 of which are one-bedroom and 40 two-bedroom. The foundation was performed using isolated footings, and the general structure with concrete pillars and waffle slabs. Specifically there are areas with views slabs of concrete and steel columns, and a library area with wrought great lights with concrete floor slabs and beams postensadas- Blind areas facades are solved with lightweight panels of large size GRC prefabricated, reinforced concrete with glass fibers. The east and west facades are ventilated with finishing resin plates. Downstairs, the facades are of concrete and rusted steel cladding.
