Supported self-rehabilitation

The families who may be allowed this help are identified by the social adviser from the Foyer

Stéphanais who works closely with the delinquencies services and community workers.

Besides, a deep work on remobilisation will be made by the social adviser as the tenants

voluntary involvement will be necessary.

Following the family’s agreement, a meeting will be arranged between the family, the lesser

and the association in order to determine a diagnostic of the situation and to define the

forthcoming actions, following a tripartite agreement and a quote.

The organisation will then take the lead with the tenants follow up. The social adviser will

closely help the tenants with home-based visits so that they will arrange the house works

themselves. This way, they will improve their house indoor design and make possible a

rehabilitation project or even avoid an eviction procedure. The tenant will take part in the

purchase of house work (wallpapers, paintings … ) as a 10% financial participation.

Depending on the different cases, the lesser - or other partners as CCAS, social services,

etc) might be involved in the actions taken.

On a regular basis, the social adviser from the Foyer Stéphanais and the organisation will

check on the house works improvements.
