From streets to homes

This project spanned three years

Year 1: 2017/2018:

The goal was to identify the targeted audience and to provide support in each individual's search for housing. To this end, the individuals needed to go through a learning process, to rediscover the rhythm of daily life and education (such as food and hygiene). They also needed to learn to give up their survival behaviour and strategies. This support had to adapt to each individual's availabilities and needs. The appropriate housing was created and identified thanks to gradual mobilisation during the 2nd semester of 2018.

The individuals were able to move into the housing due to the customised rental management on behalf of the landlord, notably through a personalised matching process carried out by proximity staff and therefore by promoting awareness and providing training to local agents.

Year 2: 2018/2019:

The main objective is to strengthen the goals of the first year. The priority: the reclaiming of different procedures by the general public, by the teaching of tenants’ rights and duties, financial education, healthcare procedures, as well as through solvency.

Year 3: 2019/2020:

The goal is to slide the rent to the tenant, which implies consolidating the tenant's status, a shift towards a system of common rights, and particularly promoting professional integration
