Reinventing Management : from a traditional organization to a horizontal company releasing creativity

Since 2014, a transversal project group has led the management project.

Each directorate relied on volunteers to think about the themes submitted to all employees during a WorldCafé: “the Management Café” in 2015 . On this day, more than 10,000 ideas emerged for later processing by employees divided into 5 working groups :

1. Strengthen the knowledge,

2. Encourage usability,

3. Develop the practice of feedback,

4. Increase the number of initiatives taken by those closest to the field

5. Reduce frustrations.

Five sub-groups led by members of the project group (who had received training in group mediation) then asked volunteers to short through the ideas of the Management Café and propose concrete action plans. More than 50 employees responded to this call for applicants and worked from 2015 to 2016 on action plans.

In June 2016, the action plans were validated during the managers seminar and, between 2016 and 2017, transcribed into several deliverables in different formats. In the meantime, as of 2016, all the managers have followed collaborative team management training courses.

The finalization of our management project finally took place during a festive day "colorful management" in November 2017 during which all the employees were invited to discover color-based management using the DISC method and assess the progress made. All 350 employees had previously carried out the color test, which provides a better understanding of how to communicate with one another.

In addition, after an internal survey, 84% of employees thought that the project and its deliverables (the Management Notebook and its humorous videos, remote working, reverse interviews on the management, orientation program for new employees...) improve our operations.

These important milestones and events, we also share them with our stakeholders and on the Internet : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8nXR4zGDO0.
