The IX Bienal Iberoamericana of Architecture and Urbanism, which aims to show the best projects in architecture and urban design capable of incorporating contexts, social demands, technological and climate on the scale of architecture, their inscriptions remain open until Friday March 21.
This edition of the BIAU wants to introduce initiatives and territorial and urban strategies to help build new geographies that incorporate the requirements of infrastructure, tackle the economic tensions and appreciate the unique ecologies in Latin America and be able to add urban values, territorial and cultural serve as a vehicle for greater social cohesion continental those projects.
For this occasion have produced 5 AWARDS their respective CATEGORIES:
1. SELECTION OF WORKS OF AMERICAN PANORAMA IX BIAU
2. PUBLICATIONS BIAU IX (3 categories with a single prize each)
- Books
- Periodicals (magazines and newspapers)
- Other media (video, CD-ROM, television and film documentaries, websites)
3. RESEARCH WORK BIAU IX (3 categories)
- Academic theses or dissertations or Master Thesis work
- Work carried out by research teams
- Research applied
4. PRIZE AMERICAN ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING
5. VIDEOURBANA
The first three prizes consist of a diploma and the inclusion of a review of selected corresponding Exhibition and catalog work.
American Award will be unique and will consist of a diploma and a commemorative item to be delivered during the celebration of the event at a public meeting convened to be provisioned for transcendence and appropriate solemnity. Furthermore, the Prize will be reflected in the Catalogue of BIAU and exposure.
The Videourbana category consist of 2 prizes:
- Jury Award (1,000 €)
- Award of Participants (500 €)
- The Jury, if appropriate, may establish up to five mentions.
- The proposals form part of the visual map urban perceptions of Ibero available on the website of the BIAU and will be presented in Rosario 2014.

- March 31: Deadline to submit Delegates selection of works to the Secretariat of the BIAU and receipt of publications in the secretariat of the BIAU Date
- April 25: Deadline to participate in Videourbana
- April / May: Meeting of the Jury of works, publications, research and the American Award for Architecture and Urbanism.
- May 2014: Publication of the failure of the various Juries
- From 13 to 18 October: Celebrating IX BIAU in Rosario, Argentina
