Finalists BIAU VIII

152 proposed. 26 finalists. 5 of them Spanish. This has been the Jury of the VIII Latin American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism promoted by the Ministry of Development. After three weeks of deliberation, and allocated among works built in Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela and Spain.

In the category of constructed works, high quality and functional diversity (as they have gone selected from family, collective and subsidized housing housing to extensions of museums and sports facilities), there will be a selection to be held in Cádiz from 10 to 14 September to determine the winner of the BIAU VIII.

The Spanish finalists are the Expansion of San Telmo Museum in San Sebastián (Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano), the VPO Salou (Toni Gironés) Remodeling Old Mill Lanjarón Water Museum (Juan Domingo Santos), the Lumbreras Footbridge for Environment and Urbanization Bastion of Labrit in Pamplona (Óscar Pérez Silanes, Carlos Pereda Iglesias and Ignacio Olite Lumbreras) and the Relais Chateaux Restaurant and Atrium in Cáceres (Luis Moreno Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón).

In addition, there have also been awarded three books three periodicals, and a radio program among 230 proposals that had previously been selected for the countries that took part in the contest.

As Career Award Iberoamericana, it has granted Baldeweg and Cesar Naselli. This prize was awarded both other occasions such as this to architects, organizations or groups that recognition is deserving because exemplary work in architecture and urbanism from all possible points that both include: aesthetic, functional, social , technical, economic or environmental.
